Thrissur Pooram was the brainchild of Raja Rama Varma, famously as Sakthan Thampuran, the Maharaja of Cochi (1790-1805). In 1798, he unified the ten temples situated around Vadakkumnathan Temple
and organized the celebration of Thrissur Pooram as a Mass Festival. It is held at the Vadakkumnathan Temple in Thrissur every year on the Pooram Day- The day when the moon rises with the Pooram star in the Malayalam calendar month of Medam.
We have launched the T-shirt in our Hometown to show gratitude towards the biggest show in the world. it was minimal on sales but went through great pains and reliefs to break even.
